It’s been almost a decade since I saw this trend.
For the last ten years, most of the design world has been focused on cream, blue, and grey tones.
These colors aren’t bad — per say — but after awhile they can get a little dull.
Which is why I’m pleasantly surprised that so many delightful brights have been making their way back into our world!
Especially since I’ve always favored rich colors and jewel tones within my own home.
Of course, if your house is dominated by creams, blues, and greys, a complete overhaul might be too costly and time-consuming.
But instead of changing your whole color palette, you can add a few key anchor pieces that will really make your home pop!
Here are just a few of my ideas:
Every single one of those words excites my design senses!
Coral Monogram – If it has your name on it, you can’t go wrong
Green Cabinets – A high color-contrast can anchor your room and draw your guests eyes to a particular area.
or Black cabinets
It doesn’t have to always be a huge modern art canvas.
Small art placed in a closet, dressing room, or on a nightstand can be equally inspiring
I absolutely love this updated take on florals, whoever ends up with this will love it for decades
Look for a delightful bright rug to add a brilliant foundation to your neutral decorating.
I especially love antique style rugs that have color but are also a little faded.
So what do you think, is color here to stay?

You’ll learn how to paint like a pro, seal for long lasting finishes, and use our antiquing glazes to create furniture that looks antique and expensive…even if it’s brand new or a bargain find. You will learn how to master all our tools and our must have tips throughout the process.
You’ll also be shown the fundamentals of distressing. If you truly want to give your furniture that classic vintage style, then it’s absolutely VITAL you learn how to distress your paint.
You’ll leave the class with samples, your very own painted decorative object and the confidence to tackle those bigger projects and know how to do “right”.
